As tempting as it may be to use addons to give you an edge it is best to avoid them.

The problem with addons is that, for one thing, they are not reliable. Many of them will actually end up crashing the game. This is good for the gaming experience in my opinion because it keeps the playing field level so everybody has to play the game the way it was meant to be played. If you’ve ever come across another player with every addon known to man you know how frustrating it is to play against them.
NCSoft made the right decision. This way every player has the opportunity to succeed or fail based solely on the games rules. Success or failure is determined by the players skills, not by some slick program running in the background.
You’ve probably played other MMORPGs that allow addons. If you live and die by addons then Aion probably isn’t for you. However, you are missing out on a truly great experience by not giving it a good chance.
